Baked French Toast Casserole
1 loaf sourdough bread
8 eggs
2 C milk
1/2 C heavy cream
3/4 C sugar
2 T vanilla
Topping:
1/2 C all purpose flour
1/2 C brown sugar
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t salt
1 stick cold butter, cut into pieces
1. Greast 9x13 pan with butter. Tear bread into bite-size chunks and place evenly in the pan.
2. Mix together eggs, milk, cream sugar and vanilla. Pour evenly over bread. Cover tightly and store in fridge for several hours. (better over night).
3. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Cut in the butter until it looks nice and crumbly. Place in ziploc bag and store in fridge.
4. When ready to bake, take pan out of fridge. Remove wrap and evenly sprinkle the crumb mixture over the top.
Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Serve with sryup!
