For all of you who are reading, I would really appreciate if you would keep my sweet friends D & K in your prayers. ( I will not publish their names for privacy reasons). Let me give you a bit of background before I give you the request. D and K have been married 15 years. They have one son who is PRECIOUS y'all! 4 years ago they lost a baby at 22 weeks gestation...a little boy. Prior to that loss D has suffered infertility and multiple miscarriages. Their heart has really longed for another child so they opted to adopt. As we all know the adoption process is extremely expensive, emotionally draining, and does not come with a guarantee. They have been with an agency for a little over 2 years now. Their hearts were growing weary .... until they recieved a phone call from an expectant mother who wants to have a meeting next week about a possible adoption when her child is born! Now, this is not a guarantee...but a ray of hope! Please pray that D & K will be chosen to adopt this precious baby and please pray for the expectant mother. Her decision cannot be an easy one. God is good. God is faithful. God does provide.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I have another friend and former college roommate, that just adopted their second child! They are now the sweetest family of 4. My heart explodes with joy for them!
Lastly, as many of you know, my Mother suffers from advanced glaucoma. She had surgery back in May on her "good" eye in hopes of saving any vision she still has. Well, I am happy to report that her surgery was a success and she is down to only one eye drop a day (allergy preventative). This is such a huge praise for our family! We give all praise to the Lord!!!
