A new family favorite

Y'all have to make and try this salsa.  It will not disappoint!  I have served it at parties and recently at a baby shower...and all the guest wanted the recipe when they left.  Yes, it is that good! :)

1 (15.5 oz) can black-eyed peas, drained
1 (15.5 oz) can black beans, drained
1 1/C mild salsa
3/4 C chopped green onion
1/2 C chopped red onion
1 (2.25 oz) can chopped black olives, drained
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
1. (.7) package Italian dressing mix
1 t ground cumin
1 t garlic powder
1 t fresh lemon juice

In a large bowl, combine peas, beans, salsa, onions, olives and jalapeno.  Add dressing mix, cumin, garlic powder, and lemon juice, tossing gently to coat.  Cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
